What's true beauty?

What's the first image that comes to mind when you hear the word beauty?
I want to know what is beautiful in your eyes.

The reality is that a lot of girls are having self esteem issues because of the way they are deceived by the media. The media portrays beauty as something it's not, and I believe this is a huge problem for young girls.

Not everyone knows this but, almost if not all photos in magazines and commercial ads are re-touched to make the image look completely different from the original. Over time re-touching of photos are not only expected but demanded from publicists.

This is crazy, I never knew it was this dramatic. Yet exactly what I'm talking about

For some reason it's no longer whats in the inside that counts, people pay to close attention to whats on the outside, when truthfully, it shouldn't really matter.

When you wake up in the morning and go to the bathroom and look in the mirror, what do you look at first?

Most would look to see their flaws, which is the wrong thing to do. Instead of veering your eyes to see whats wrong, why dont you look to see whats right?

Another great video that I want you to see, it shows whats happening to todays society. It shows how far a girl (or guy) would go to feel accepted.

Something to think about.

No matter what people say, God made you beautiful.

Oh how the time flies by..

Summer is almost over, school is starting soon and so are my allergies [yuck]. I have to say that I don't like the vacation ending so soon [I don't think anyone does for that matter], because the time just flew me by.

I flew to New York to stay with my grandparents
for two months, i'm not going to forget this trip.
Good times :)

New York is one of my favorite places to be, I love the atmosphere, and the people are great [and from what I've experienced] very friendly. I like that.

I'm already a senior in high school, it's crazy how fast we grow up. I'll be in college in one more year! Not sure how my parents are going to take that, seeing their only daughter go into college and eventually move out and find her place in the world. [It's lovely to think about]

Thinking about leaving all the amazing people in my family kind of hurts, but no doubt I will see them again very soon. I'm not sure how long I can stay away from these people I've come to love. Being in New York for two months was hard, but the reason why I stayed for so long was because I needed to really know what it would be like without my family in California. I've gotta grow up sometime.

Being away and doing things on my own are making me more of an independent person, I have to learn to take care of myself, or else I'll never get anywhere.

Parents need to let go, and let their children experience the world like they did. Although they must let them go the right way, and raise them the right way. Like the way my parents raised me.

This is my family

My Dad [Micheal or Mike] My Mother [Najla]
My two younger Brothers (the older one by my dad is Haffed)
(the youngest by my mom is Nasser)
A lovely family is it not?
Whats great is that they are supportive of everything I do every step of the way
They're special.

So then there is me

Im 5'2" and dying to be a cop. I may be little, but you should never judge a book by it's cover ;)
everyday I look back and see how things have changed over time. Then i say to myself,
Oh how the time flies by.
